Location

The location of Wisteria Bed & Breakfast means you can have the best of both worlds – be close to nature and at the same time, be just on the outskirts of an exciting, not too large city. Come back after a hard day sightseeing to a different world.

For those in need of their daily jog or walk, the B&B is surrounded by fields and located almost at the entrance to the Forstenrieder Park, both of which have numerous trails which will give you the workout you need. The Forstenrieder Park is an almost 20 sq km fenced forest area where you can observe native wild animals in their natural habitat. With a bit of luck and the right timing, you may see wild boars, deer, rabbits, foxes and badgers. The park is open to all and is free to use as a recreation area.

Although not necessary for visiting the city of Munich, having a car during your visit is recommended to make the most out of your stay. There is plenty of safe and free parking in front of the bed and breakfast.

To get into the city quick, you can drive to and leave your car at the nearby U-Bahn station (again plenty of free, safe parking) and travel into Munich by our excellent public transport. Save expensive parking fees for sightseeing. The U3 U-Bahn from the nearest station will get you into the city in 16 minutes.

The bed and breakfast is also located not too far from the entrance to/exit from the A95 Autobahn. Visitors traveling by car have easy access to one of the most important arteries connecting Munich to the southern beauty of Bavaria. Using the A95, you can visit well-known sights like Lake Starnberg, Bad Tölz, Garmisch-Partenkirchen and the Zugspitze – Germany’s tallest mountain, on day trips. From Starnberg, you can take a short country drive across to the Andechs Monastery which rises over Lake Ammersee and is famous for its beer brewed by monks! Then while there, why not drive down to Lake Ammersee itself. There is so much to explore!

Business travelers will appreciate the proximity to the A95 as well as the Mittlerer Ring. This ring road around Munich will take you about anywhere you want to go – north, south, east or west.

Don’t have a car or want to rent one? No problem! As already mentioned, it is not necessary. You can also visit Munich easily by public transport. The local bus takes you to the metro station to connect to the city center. If you have more time on your hands, the bus will actually take you directly to Marienplatz!

I can provide you with more details and how to buy the best ticket for your stay!
